Finally. Our roadtrip can start now. We are looking forward to this unforgettable journey. It was a big struggle finding, testing, buying, insuring, and registering the car! Without two very special people this would not have been possible!
Ashly, Hugh's friend from Seattle, helped us a lot with finding a used car that was not a lemon. He gave us very good advice and we want to thank him a lot for everything! He told us to look at Autocheck.com. This website can help you to check out if the car was in any accident or if the Odometer was tempered in any way. He is a very nice and funny guy, who also recommended us to let a professional mechanic check the car out and to which parts we should pay special attention to. Ashly also the owner of Auto Advisor Inc. (www.Autoadviser.com)
Hugh was also an enormous help. Without him nothing would have been possible. He helped us with the insurance and registering the car at the DMV. Insuring yourself is not too difficult. Registering the car is the difficult part. You need a US drivers licence for that which we of course did not have. Hugh helped us out by registering the car under his name.
Thank you both so much!

Our first real trip started in Stamford and took us to Washington, on the way we stopped in Philadelphia. The SILVER SURFER was fuelled and we were good to go. Freddy was totally exhausted from the past days so I drove the whole day (Stamford-Philadelphia-Washington D.C.) We arrived in Philadelphia and directly went to Pat's King of Steak to eat the Philly Chease Steak. I ordered one with extra Cheese of course. Philly looks like a really nice city but we didn't stay there for very long and decided to continue to Washington D.C. There wasn´t a lot of traffic at all - that was nice - we arrived at Ann's place in the afternoon.
